Hi 86th, That is a great area to collect. Some tough and seldom seen badges. I was lucky enough to pick this up in an antique store, some years ago now. It was costly at the time. About $6 IIRC.

Great looking badges! Thanks for showing them. They would be very worthy of being placed into our Reference Library if you were interested in that.

Your bank account may be empty, but your collection is complete, that is the main thing. I know, this type of thinking can only be understood by a collector.
My collecting are is primarily Second World War, however I can fully appreciate what a fantastic group you have assembled here.
Bill I agree the cloth MG patch shown on the left does appear to be of Great War vintage.

Re: Badges of the CEF CMGC
Those 1 Motors CMGC post war badges are pretty scarce. In fact, I think they may be harder to find than the 1 CMMG CEF collars.
At some point in WW1, the CMMG wore an embroidered shoulder title. This title was also worn by the imperial Motor Machine Gun units.

Hi 86th, Yes that is the pattern of title as worn by some of the Canadian MMG units. There is an image of the actual title in Taboika's book on the CEf.
