I live in  Sicily and i'm a collector of Militaria, mi home is about 30 miles from the canadian cemetery of Agira and a lot of mi piece of collection are recoverd by metal-detecting, and are objects used during husky operation..99% i recovered U.S. and American items, but sometime i dont know the nationality of some of it...are Canadian??
this (fuel or oil?) box was recovered in a farm near Caltanissetta. The top of it and the way to welding it remember me a Canadian box...are about 2gallons...

Welcome aboard, No need to apologize for your English. I am pretty sure everyone can understand your message, without much trouble at all.

Your English is certainly better than my Italian. Looking forward to seeing what you have accumulated.

It does not look familiar to me. Possibly for a field kitchen?

i have put it in a solution of ossalic acid, and after 4 hours become visible some part of field-green...
