CANADIAN MK.I DISPATCH RIDER'S HELMET

The canadian helmet DR MK1. Was presented originally in October, 1942. Copied to the British model of the Manufacturer BMB .

My exemple has its original paint, liner and shine stape. His natural leather headband is stamped "44" which is the year of manufacturing,The letters " BS " in a circle are the initials of the manufacturer (Backstay Standard and Co. ) Based in Ontario and "7" the indication of the size. The shell is marked with the canadian broad harrow and "C.L. / C". and "1944" who is the manufacturer (Canadian Lamp Company 1944). Based has Winsor. We find the name of the soldier has the inside which is JIM KORNEY.

A nice find, although be careful about getting too excited over named examples as these late war helmets were used by the Canadian Army well into the early 1970s.

Nice helmet. What kind of goggle are that? Canadian made?

I have two of these (see image), one with purple elastic and the other one has blue elastic. (This one is for trade)

No canadian it's British or American WW2 pilot Flight/motoring goggle.
Black metal frame,rubber pads, elastic head band and Celluloide lenses.
