Is it normal for a Canadian uniform to not show regiment insignia? For example this battledress i have found online, i dont seem to see any regiment patches or division markers... Please explain?

Re: Canadian Battle Dress
We need to remember that the Canadian army was a large organization with many supporting elements …. training centres, reinforcement units, Canadian army reserve ..... etc. Not every member of the force was "Active". We tend to think of the army as the 1st - 5th divisions, but it was much larger and more diverse than just the units belonging to those divisions. The other reason is that soldiers had several tunics and not all bothered sewing patches to all their uniforms. Most uniforms we find as collectors, are bring home tunics or best dress uniforms not working dress.

Re: Canadian Battle Dress
Fair point made by Ypres here. There are many photographs from soldiers on operations wearing all sorts of, or no insignia. Just the regimental badge, just a division badge or just a 'CANADA' tab, and all variations in between have been known to occur.
