This time an Air Raid Precautions helmet marked "M" for Medical Peronal. Helmet is made by GSW DP&H 1941 (for those not in the know, helmets marked for the Department of Pensions and Health were mild steel variants not suitable for combat issue, hence ARP and civil defence use).

Re: Canadian ARP Medical Helmet
These DP&H helmets are very under-estimated in my opinion. They played a very important part in the war effort.
Looks great Geoff!

I totally agree with you. There is a wide variety of ARP (DP&H) helmets on the market and they rarely command a big price. I think the home front effort if fascinating in itself. When you consider that both Coasts were threatened during the War, it is little wonder that ARP was so important.
