Nice to see some UN medals. I have a few in my collection but have shied away from furthering the collection as I get somewhat confused.
I understand they have a common medal with a different ribbon to denote service areas. Where I get bothered is the poor quality of some of the strikings. Well not so much the strikings, but the finish on them. I find the darker ones are appealing to me, but there seem to be many that are lighter in colour and appear to be lacquered or almost like a varnish... always took these to be issued to the US members.
