Hi Guys,
I chanced upon an estate auction in rural Saskatchewan this weekend and decided to check it out. Imagine my surprize when I found this near mint Brodie with the stenciled cap badge of the 5th Western Cavalry! The liner and chinstrap are perfect and the paint about 98%.
The original owners name and number is written on the interior strap. I ran his name and he enlisted in Vancouver on 1 Jan, 1916, so must of ended up as a reinforcement to the 5th.
As a collector of Saskatchewan militaria, I was pretty happy with my find.
Geoff
