Merchant Navy Beret

Hello!
I got this Beret and after some research i only found the meaning of the White beret wore by the ww2 merchant navy personnel .Mine has white and black .
Is there somebody who could shed a light on this for me . I know that parkhurst still make beret til now ,so it could be post war too .

Navy League?

this is I believe a modern beret worn by navy or merchant navy or some naval related veterans. If you go to a parade on Friday you will see this beret being worn.

I just went on the site and the only thing i was wondering now is what is the meaning of the White and Black ,i know the white represent the route they were using arctic convoy but the mix with the black ?

Hello Frenchy......

It is not supposed to be black but rather a very very dark blue..... The White represents the white topped hat the navy used to wear and the dark blue which was worn during WW2......
