[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] is a great website for doing family research and military research. If ancestry.com doesn't help, then there are other options to explore.

Re: unknow soldier
I have passed this information along to a family member with access to ancestey.com I will report any findings. It is pretty much hit and miss sometimes. I am not real familiar with research possibilites for USA service.

OK I am going to go out on a limb here and say simply, NO. He never served overseas. I can not verify this statement, however, according to his Draft Card, his Draft Regisration date was 12 September 1918. Not likely he could have completed his training within 2 months, let alone train, ship, and see service in a Theater of War.

You can check the NARA website(I think that's the name of it). The US archives has military files online. Its been many years since I collected US stuff and used the site but I remember it not being user friendly. Google NARA and have a go at it, you might find something.
