Hey guys,
Had another good auction yesterday. Picked up quite a bit of stuff, some good, some not so good. lol
The 23rd RCA BD group is my favourite with the Pacific patch sewn on the Div patch. I found mixed in with a bunch of duffle bags a WWII navy hammock. I got three WWII dated CDN P37 web belts, only one with real crisp clear markings, the others you can read but aren't as nice.
I found a WWI US grenade carrier mixed in with some stuff as well. There is one pair of boots that looks like they are WWII with leather sewn on the top of the boot and tongue to extend them. A military rework?
The stereo map viewer is kind of neat, haven't looked into it much, the binocs are broadarrow marked and the case is CDN marked.
Some of the sweaters and wool gloves I believe to be WWII, but I'll have to do some more research into that.
The blue tunic is dated 1932 and named, this man served in the RFC in WWI and stayed in the military his entire life. He was in charge of the COTC at Western University, that explains the purple and white lanyard.
Most of this stuff is for sale, so if you see anything you like...let me know. The RCA BD is staying with me though lol.
Edit: What the heck is the thing that wraps around your shoulders and has the one black clip on the front? Its C broadarrow marked and Woods manufacturing stamped.
