Picked this set up today at the Calgary show. It came with a home made backing plate that is rather unusual and unfortunately it is missing one of the studs but I think it's still pretty cool. I'm a big fan of these British made wings as they are probably the easiest variation of wartime made wings to recognize and like Ken Joyce mentioned on another forum some time ago, if you want to add a jump wing to your collection that is representative of what members of 1 Can Para would have actually used overseas you can't go wrong with British made wings (I'm paraphrasing).

How was the show? I had to play lumberjack today so I missed it...again.

Re: British made jump wings
Huge and lots of people. It took me over three hours to get through. Of course whether or not it was good is very subjective depending on what you are looking for. There was some militaria and I did pick up a few things but lots of it was quite pricy, especially the desirable pieces. If I had the money I could have picked up four No4 Mk1T sniper rifles but the reality is that I couldn't even justify the price of one.... someday.

Re: British made jump wings
now thats the sort I would like to find, something a bit worn, hence not having one and plus just getting used to the style of a wartime made piece,
I would expect to see a higher price on one like this, what would be a ballpark figure for a regular one
cheers
