Please help identify a "CFC" pin

Hello, I wonder if anyone can help me identify this item.  I found it in a box of my grandfather's WWI pins and badges.  He served in the British Hampshire Regiment, and near the end of the war transferred to the RAF, stationed in Aboukir, Egypt.  It's possible, although I don't know this for sure, that he was in the CAF just after the war.  One item is a CAF cap badge, so there is definitely some kind of Canadian connection going on.  Anyway, as long as I've figured out how to include an image, here it is.

I know there was a Canadian Forestry Corps, but I wouldn't have thought they had pilots!

Any ideas?
