Hi everyone, I just recieved this in the mail a few days ago and just had to share it. Has some of you may know I've been in search of medals/memorial plaques named to men who attested with the 117th CEF (Eastern Townships battalion) for awhile know. A few weeks ago this pair poped up on Ebay and I managed to snatch it up. Three years searching form my first pair and here I am with my first one and already searching for the the next one. This particular pair is named to Private Chalres Edward Hodgkinson 748076. He atttested with the 117CEF on December 8th 1915 in Sherbrooke Quebec. He was born in Birmingham England August 7th 1894 and residing in Bulwer Quebec upon enlisting. Upon arriving in England he was taken on strenght by the 5CMR and proceded to the front. Sadly at this point this is all I know about him but I'm looking forward to researching this man and discovering more about his military service and perhaps life after the war.
