MkIII Decal....Winnipeg Rifles??

I'm kind of leaning towards WR...but it is shaped a bit different than examples I have. What say you?

I would lean more towards the Royal Rifles of Canada. Didn't the R Wpg R use the little black devil?

Aaahhh, yes! That looks more like the one. I can see a bit of the bugle in the center as well. I was kind of going by the design of the WR cap badge and not the usual decal seen for them. Not sure why there is a decalled MkIII for them though....did they not stand as a home unit after Hong Kong?

Perhaps, not Canadian at all. Looking at the British Rifle Brigade (Prince Consort's Own) cap badge, I would have to go with them.

the Rifle Brigade was my thought too on this decal, I don't know why the helmet was painted black and what relation to the decal that might have, was it painted black over the decal Mark?

It isn't black...just bad pics. The finish is the regular earth brown. The decal does not look to be painted over.

I can make out a letter "A" on your helmet Mark in the same spot as where "BERMUDA" would appear to be in a box, I can see the Brown paint, I also see some green I wonder if it was brown first, black with decal applied and green last and its been cleaned back/or as seen the top coats can wear significantly from storage
