    greetings. i recently acquired a gold medal given by the citizens of Toronto to the local soldiers
    who took part in the Battle of Batoche in 1885. no one has seen or heard of one until now. the only reference to it is a description w/picture in the October 1894 Spink and son's publication, pages 887-88.
