Identify Canadian Insignia on MKII helmet

Does anyone know this flash on Canadian MKII helmet ?

just wondered is it painted or a transfer?

Transfer.

I know 2 other helmet with this insignia, found in Normandy.
Each are transfert, and canadian helmet.

I have not been able to locate this helmet flash on any of the Canadian references I have access to.
Is it possible it is a British unit?

i dont think it's a british insignia.

The three that i know are canadian made, and transfert insignia.
british used most painted   insignia than transfer.

interesting, I see a larger rectangle behind the transfer, which could be an earlier flash, sorry no help on the id
