Silk Banner - 23rd Halifax Rifles

My father-in-law served during WWII as a tank driver, first training with the 23rd Halifax Rifles, and then fighting with the 22nd Grenadier Guards.  When he passed away a few years ago, we inherited his box of war memorabilia.  Mostly letters, coins, and some personal items.  But in the box was this green silk banner with flocked emblems at either end - one of the 23rd Regimental badge and the other with a sherman tank logo.

Would anybody know what this banner is from?

Hi, The item you have is a souvenir piece. These were purchased by the serviceman or his family. The tank is not a Sherman; it is actually a Canadian made Ram.
