Sorry, I am not familiar with the bottom patch on your brassard. However, I wore an identical brassard in Bosnia except for the bottom patch was a British 7th Armoured Brigade Jeroba (desert rat). Although I was a member of the Canadian Forces we came under operational command of the "desert rats" for several weeks during the elections in Bosnia in 1997 and we wore a brassard during that time. Perhaps your brassard was worn during a similar situation where a different formation was in operational command.

Bottom badge British 19th Brigade ,the 19th Brigade Headquarters and Signal Squadron (209) deployed to Bosnia. The brigade became 19 Light Brigade in 2005, and moved to Northern Ireland following the end of Operation Banner and "normalisation" of British military operations in the province. Following the 2010 Strategic Defence and Security Review (SDSR), the Brigade entered suspended animation in March 2013.

Must have been attached to them during his tour in Bosnia.
