Hello all, Does anyone have an opinion on this blanket and embroidered Chaudière shoulder Patch?
    Regards.

All of my WW2 blankets have a single black centre stripe running top to bottom and the "C Broad Arrow" mark is in black as well. this mark is printed onto the blanket material.
Most of them are somewhere central and adjacent to the stripe, but I do have at least one where the "C^" is on one corner.

Is there the possibility yours is from the First War?

The example in my collection also has a black stripe and a black C broad arrow off to a corner.

    Yours looks interesting.

I believe its a WWI Blanket.  Titles look English made to me.

Check out the Service Publication article on the titles ... yours are identified as private purchase (Officers?)

For what it is worth, I don't like that blanket. I am not an expert on these by a long shot, but I don't like the colour of the stripes or the shape of the C/l\ .

I am hoping to be corrected by someone who has a clue.

I don't have a problem with this blanket either. I have seen one or two others over the years so it's definitely not one of a kind. There doesn't seem to be any reference material available for blankets. The only information I have on blankets has been passed to me by other collectors which is not always the most reliable source of information. If anyone has a reliable reference I would love to hear about it.

There is a photo of one in Taboika's book on page 34. Again this is information from a collector so ..... I have one in my collection that came with a bolster and a palaisse cover both of which are WWI dated and C arrow marked.... I can't recall where they are. When I come across them I will post a photo.

Just picked this up. It is a Canadian blanket from 1867 - 1900. It is marked with a DC for Dominion of Canada. Notice how similar it is to the blanket in this thread. Notice the red and black horizontal stripes on the ends. It is missing the other central red stripes.

Oh great, more things to learn about darn it. If you guys keep this up, my wife is going to start playing wack-a-mole with a frying pan on me for sure.
