It was not uncommon for senior officers to wear these smocks in the field, even those without parachute wings.

Nothing close to this name, which is a guess since it is buggered up a bit and partially unreadable, shows up in any airborne rosters so far. I'm not sure if there is a list of MC recipients. I haven't found one yet.
