I finally found a 19th Alberta Mounted Rifles cap badge. These cap badges are each individually serial numbered, I am not sure up to what number but I have seen up to number 56. They were in use from around 1900 to 1910.
Maker marked but hard to read as it is double stamped. I think J R Gaunt & Son Birmingham.
I think this is the only cap badge in use by the CF that have ever been individually serial numbered.
