    A holy grail for the collection , thanks to Kyle Scott for the heads up, a rare named Strathcona's Horse ,Queen South Africa Medal, issued to Pvt Malcolm Read Harris , Regimental # 145, has arrived from across the pond......now more research of the extra bars is needed.....

    Nice, can you provide a better picture of the cap badge? Does it have tangs?

    Cannot tell the bars from that angle.......

    He is on my survivors list, last sold without badges by DNW 2015 ......

    145 Pte. M.R. Harris, Cape Colony, Natal Belfast, South Africa 1902

    Also served in Cape Police......

    Hi Anthony......

    Looked him up in the Regimental Routine Orders.......

    1.  Enlisted Regina Feb. 7th, 1900
    2.  Served "A" Squadron, 4th Troop
    3.  Appointed Batman to Lieut. H.D.B. Ketchen
    4.  Resigned position of Batman April 5th, 1900

    Seemed he kept his nose clean as no punishment listed......

    5.  Discharged from Regiment at own request November 14th, 1900
    6.  Left South Africa on S.S. Assaye for England
