Canadian Mk2 helmet

I recently picked this up, a mint Cdn Mk2 helmet, perfect paint and liner, the only catch it appears to be a post war chin strap. I have never come across such a perfect helmet before, helmet and liner marked 1942.

That is indeed a nice find although just from looking at the photographs the Mk II appears to have been refinished as it does indeed have a post-SWW Canadian OD No. 7 Chinstrap.   It is certainly a nice piece and is a fine example of a Mk II that would have been used until 1970 by the Reserves.   Your net is a bit suspect as the Canadian bi-colours were still in use on the Mk IIs until they were discontinued.
