Heres a few variants of the Browning pistol as used during the war that ive managed to find so far..In my opinion one of the best pistol designs ever and 70+ years later will still make a very reliable shooter..The best quality ones are the F.N units from before 1943ish and the Canadian made Inglis versions.

Recently a pair of ultra rare magazine pouches for the Chinese contract went up for auction, with buyers premium and GST close to $1000 for two pouches and a belt.
The pouch holds three magazines and a cleaning rod, this was issued with the wooden shoulder stock, the pouches were marked ZL&T.

Your serial number falls into the time frame of August to October of 1945.
According to Clive's book on the High Power the factory made 6T4049 to 9T3628 during that period.
Very nice pistol by the way, you do not see them looking that good in the Canadian Forces inventory any more.
