This Egypt battle honour crest (sphinx and number 3) is on a silver dinner fork, made by Harrison Brothers & Howson, in Birmingham 1899.
I'm guessing it's either 3rd Regiment of Foot Guards (Scots Guards) or 3rd (Kent) Regiment of Foot, 'The Buffs'. Both received this battle honour. Or could it refer to a 3rd Battalion of another regiment?
Any suggestions?
Thank you.
