Royal Rifles of Canada Socks

I have just joined the forum in the hope that someone can tell me the colours of the socks and garter flashes worn by officers of The Royal Rifles of Canada with KD shorts in 1940-41.  There are several photos depicting these socks.  This photo appeared on a discussion in this forum in 2014:
