I have had a particular interest in 1MAC since I found that my Grandfather served with them in Britain during the bombing raids on populated areas.  I remember he did not like to talk about his time while driving ambulances and he always seemed disturbed when I tried to bring it up with him. This is all the info I've been able to find out about 1MAC.
