Can anyone tell me what the unit marks on the butt of my Snider might be? I can not seem to find any ref to help.

ok I see it now...is that KPB in your opinion..definately unusual for a Snider...I,ll see what I can find out...

Only thing that comes up is KING'S PROVISIONAL BATTALION of Infantry 1875-1884. Not sure who this bunit is but will lookinto it more.
