If the 1st Canadian Armoured Carrier Regiment MK II had been 100% original, I believe it would have sold for well over a $1000 US.

Now thinking that being am Armoured unit, would have not been issued Tank helmets ?

That's what I was thinking too, but who knows. I have a Korean war era MkII that is named and marked to a member of the Royal Canadian Dragoons so I guess anything is possible.

That's what I was thinking too, but who knows. I have a Korean war era MkII that is named and marked to a member of the Royal Canadian Dragoons so I guess anything is possible.

As Bill stated earlier, there are very few photographs showing Canadian tankers in actual combat. With that said, many photographs show a mix of headgear (i.e. berets, tanker's helmets and MK IIs) being worn.

Dale, what type of markings does your Korean War MK II have?
