Leather Flight Helmet - BCATP

Picked this up recently, I do not know much about aviation leather helmets. From most I have see they have pockets or are wired for headsets, this one does not have these. is it even military? Your help is appreciated!

Military or not it looks darn cool! Could be an earlier one before the era of wireless communication. I know diddley squat about leather flight helmets so I'm just guessing.

Looks like one of the Canadian pattern training helmet used at BCATP bases all over Canada...there is a type for insertable receivers and a type without...fairly common, especially in Southwestern Ontario,worth between 75-100 bucks....M.
