Well I have curbed my collecting lately, nothing really appeals to me anymore except my love for medals. I have had a pretty good week and a half I think.

A few singles here as they are the recipients full entitlement, and one pair to a R.N.V.R. member. I know RVNR is British and not Canadian but the price was just too nice to pass up.

I will not go into great detail about each medal, only to list the Regiments involved.

First upper left is named to COR Eastern Ontario Regiment
Shinny one is named to QR Quebec Regiment
one below that named to COR Central Ontario Regiment
Then we have the pair to the RNVR
On the bottom row, the first one I am over the moon about, not only is it named to a member of the 11th CMR, it has the original mailer too.
Last but certainly not least is a single BWM named to member of the NSR Nova Scotia Regiment.

Very nice! I'm going to view a WWI grouping today consisting of a war medal and victory medal, discharge pin, and service book with discharge papers. It is going to be in an upcoming auction. Since I work for the auction company now, I get to see the items well before the sale.

There is supposed to be a Military Medal with the group, but the family has misplaced it banghead

Sounds like a very nice group.... but missing the MM would really put me off on that group for sure. Now is the MM actually missing? or was i sold off previously? That is the million dollar question.

Any idea of the name of the recipient?

I looked at the group a few hours ago...the MM was supposed to be for another consignor so not part of this group.

This group is for Henry Ellis Talbot, 5th Royal Canadian Garrison Artillery. The medals are named to same. Looks like I'll be bidding on this one.
