This is what I have found out about the ID tag:
Infantry Replacement Battalion 423, 1th Company

But I cant find any Info on Infantry Replacement Battalion 423? Can anyone help me?

Way outside my area. I have not a clue to even where to direct you. Sorry.

I did find this link. use control "F" and type in 423 see if this helps at all.
