Gas Mask Haversack

Here is a rare example of a Canadian made Mk VA Haversack. It is made by SS Holden and is dated 1938. I believe the N stamp identifies this as an example issued to the Navy. There is no C broad arrow on this bag.  Notice the loop in the bottom of the haversack for the early anti dim cloth container.

Perfection! Very interesting that this bag features pebble grained Carr snaps. Most Mk V bags I have seen have the spigot type fasteners.
