    I thought I would show one of my more recent pickups.  It is about as close to unissued as I have ever owned and if wasn't named and decaled and slight paint specked I would take it for non issued.  The liner is perfect, soft, no cracks, V.C.M. 1942 marked.  The straps have probably the best acceptance marks I have seen on a strap.  The one oddity is the Kings Civil Defence transfer, instead of removing the backing they cut it very well around the backing and glued the entire thing to the helmet causing it to be raised a little bit and slightly wrinkled.
