All known 85th Battalion brodies are painted a mustard yellow color with painted formation signs. Does anyone have information on why 85th Battalion brodies are painted this color?
I had heard that the 85th Batallion painted their brodies mustard prior to the victory parade when they arrived back in Canada. Likely did it aboard the troop ship on their way home.
The Kaiser's Bunker had stated this and had a lovely example on the website, but it doesn't appear that it is displayed anymore.
